Michelle and Jeff hired Turner Photography for both their engagement session and wedding photography. For their engagement session, they chose the very scenic Bayfront Park in Sarasota. Bayfront Park has the unique combination of a park outlined by a marina on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other. At the tip of the park is the famous dolphin fountain that provides even more photography opportunities. Michelle and Jeff had a great time being romantic and playful in front of our camera. Their love for each other is clearly evident in their images.

Newly engaged? Engagement sessions are discounted $100 when booked with one of our Wedding Collections. Contact us by phone at 941.488.7300 or email us at for details.

Sunset Weddings

Now and then we get inquiries from couples who want to have their vows said at sunset. While this is very romantic, it is not practical for photography purposes. Once the sun has gone down, all photography opportunities are gone as well.

Our advice is to have the ceremony end about an hour before sunset. This provides ample time for photographs of close family members and the bridal party with the couple, then just the couple ending at sunset.

Of course when the time changes, this may complicate matters a bit as most couples don’t want their guests to start dinner too late in the evening. Depending on when sunset is on the day of the wedding, a good suggestion would be to incorporate about a few minutes after dinner to go back out for sunset shots. That way, you and your guests are not eating late, and you will have those gorgeous sunset photographs that you want!

Photography Trip to Apalachicola, Florida

In October, we took a short trip to Apalachicola, Florida. Located by the Florida panhandle, Apalachicola is well known for the abundance of oysters that are prevalent in the outlining waterways. While there we took pictures of fishing vessels and other items that we spotted around town. As you look at these images, you will get the old Florida feel of this unique fishing village.

Beach Portraits

Beach Portraits are a fun and unique way to capture the family portrait. Feel free to add the family dog. After all, they are part of the family…right? These relaxing sessions include you, the sun, sand and sea. And no shoes are required!
